The Promised Flower

After a long, warm bath,

the cold water I drink standing in the kitchen
tastes sweet,
delicious —
and a soft, refreshing sigh escapes me.

On a chilly afternoon,
the cup of coco I sip curled in the plush sofa
is smooth, rich,
and gently sweet,
my heart lifts — almost ready to dance

In my arms, as I hold my cat —
the soft fur,
the comforting weight,
the tender warmth
that fills me, wordlessly, with happiness.

A single daffodil in the vase,
stands in quiet stillness,
wrapping me in a love that asks for nothing
nothing at all — in return.

How blessed I am.
how truly, deeply blessed.

And yet,
the world we see through our screens
has grown so tangled that
what is real, what is false,
what is true, what is made-up,
has become impossible to tell apart.

News flows without end,
unnecessary things
quietly entering the mind,
while trivial stories
pull at the heart.

What should we believe?
Who can we trust?
How are we meant to decide?
No clear answer anywhere —
this is the place we stand.

A world felt in the body,
and a world that feels uncertain
in the midst of this confusion.
There is something we must do,
right now.
Precisely because it is now.

Now is the time
to turn our attention back to ourselves.
The energy aimed outward — bring it inward.
The care spent on others — give it to yourself.

And then,
tend to who you are
little by little.

When the heart grows calm,
and we begin to notice the love already filling you,
life naturally unfolds, on its own,
in kinder, more beautiful ways.

Just as a flower seed falls into the soil
and blooms into the flower, it was always promised to be —
within each of us
a seed has been given,
holding infinite possibilities,
and as long as we do not stand in our way,
it is already decided:
we will grow into who we are meant to be.

So that the most beautiful life
may unfold with ease —
let us turn to ourselves, right now,
and tend the landscape within.
And like those radiant flowers,
let us become beings
who embody the fullness of what we can be.
